If you haven’t heard the name PAIGE SAVILLE, you probably will soon. This stylish trendsetter is a news presenter on Radio Metro and a regular on the GOLD COAST social scene.

Chosen as one of the Gold Coast Bulletin’s best dressed in 2010, Paige describes her style as “theatrical”, mixing classical pieces with bold prints, glitter and head pieces.

We caught up with this chic fashionista for an insight into her enviable wardrobe.

Paige, you always look so stylish. What is your secret?
I believe style is conviction. If you’re not confident with your outfit, choose something else. What works on one person doesn’t necessarily work on another and often the difference is how you carry yourself.

Who is your style icon?
Bianca Jagger for her love of sparkly sequins and impeccable tailoring. I’m also a fan of the way the Olsen twins over-accessorize.

If you could swap wardrobes with anyone who would it be?
Rachel Zoe, she has amazing taste in vintage clothing.

What was your best fashion buy?
Definitely a mustard Lisa Ho jacket with gold chain trimmings. It was a splurge at the time, but it instantly dresses up any outfit and always gets attention.

What was your worst fashion buy?
I’m quite experimental so there have been a few.

What is your favourite clothing label?
Karla Spetic, she’s an Australian based designer, her pieces are bold yet uncomplicated.

What is your favourite fashion shop on the Gold Coast?
I’m a department store girl. Definitely Myer and DJs.

How would you describe a typical day in your life?
I love mornings! They are the best part of the day. I roll out of bed, slip into something Lorna Jane (I have a bit of an obsession), go for a walk and use the time to organize myself. Next it’s a breakfast smoothie, a caffeine hit and off to work until about 4pm. Then time for pilates. I usually do that five days a week and am just starting to add yoga into the mix as well. I love being active, I’ve recently taken up aerial hoop classes too, it’s such a good strength workout. Somewhere in there I try to squeeze in a coffee or juice with friends. When I get home, I put a fresh pot of soup on the stove and settle in for the night. I love socializing but I’m honestly a homebody at heart.

When I’m not working I’m
doing a Pilates Barre class at Essence of Living.

I’ve been told I look like…
A blonde Christina Ricci.

My favourite local restaurant is…
Mandala in Mermaid Beach, they make the most amazing vegan pizzas using cashew nut cheese. My pick is the creamy mushroom.

My favourite local coffee shop is…
Merlo Torrefazione at Ferry Road Markets, I like my coffee strong and they always make it perfectly.

In five years I hope to be…
working in PR.

In ten years I’ll be…
still working in PR, I’d like to specialize in crisis communication.
